Luke Figora

Luke Figora joined Northwestern in 2015 and is currently the Vice President for Operations. In that role, he is the key deputy to the Senior Vice President for Business and Finance and has responsibility for overseeing a variety of operational and financial units. Before moving into this role, he was the Senior Associate Vice President and Chief Risk and Compliance Officer at Northwestern.

Prior to joining Northwestern, Luke served as the Executive Director for Risk Management at the University of Chicago and held previous positions in the commercial insurance industry. Luke was named the 2019 Risk Manager of the Year by RIMS, and was named one of Business Insurance’s 40 under 40 in 2018. In 2018-2019, he was the President of the University Risk Management and Insurance Association (URMIA) and has served on the Board of Directors since 2014.

Luke holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Lake Forest College.
