Nels Ortlund

Nels Ortlund is the Director of Security at Norton Simon Museum. Nels has over 25 years of experience in law enforcement and security. Prior to their current position, they served as Operations Commander for the Monrovia Police Department and as Regional Sales Support for Moen Incorporated. Ortlund has a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from California State University, Long Beach.

Nels Ortlund received a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies (Organizational) from Westmont College. Nels then attended and graduated from Command College, Class 60, with a focus in Futures in Law Enforcement from the California Peace Officer Standards and Training. Afterwards, they completed a Master's degree in Organizational Leadership from Woodbury University. Finally, they obtained an M.A. in Organizational Leadership from Woodbury University.

They work with Patrick Goldsworthy - Director of Facilities, Stephanie Villasenor - General Counsel, and Leslie C. Denk - Director of External Affairs. Nels Ortlund reports to Walter W. Timoshuk, President & Chief Executive Officer.
