The Clinical Development Lead - Risk Adjustment position is a contractor role that will own the development of clinical workflows and algorithms for automating risk adjustment using state of the art artificial intelligence.

In this role, you will help build AI algorithms that work ahead of patient visits to automate risk adjustment work at the point of care and after patient visits to automate CDI and coder work. Automating these workflows will ensure accurate and reliable risk adjustment performance across the nation’s top healthcare providers and payors.

Contract Length: 6 months

You will spend up to 30 hours per week…

  • Designing clinical and coding algorithms for automated workflows on the Notable platform
  • Partnering with engineering teams to build, test, and validate AI outputs
  • Performing quality and safety checks on AI-processed documentation
  • Informing AI training and product development teams of opportunities for improvement
  • Partnering with Clinical Solutions, Product, and go-to-market teams to define product workflows and value narratives

Required:

  • Strong clinical acumen
  • 3 years of CDI and/or RA coding experience
  • Expertise in both CMS HCC, HHS HCC and other risk adjustment models
  • Certification as a RN, PA, APRN, or FNP
  • Certification as a risk adjustment coder
  • Strong technical skills or comfort adopting new technologies
  • Strong process rigor to identify and hone in on how to achieve and systematize value
  • Experience navigating excel and google sheets
  • Prior HIPAA training

Preferred

  • Experience in a strategic or management role within a CDI or risk adjustment team at a large provider or payor organization
  • 3 years of clinical practice experience
