Ben Chen

Ben Chen is an engineering manager at Notarize. Previously, they worked as a senior manager for business analytics at IBM from January 2013 to December 2018. During their time at IBM, they were responsible for developing and releasing high quality user interface and functionality, and technology choices and architecture of key components that are part of the new generation of the planning product. Some of their notable accomplishments include building elastically scalable stateful and stateless micro services for websheets to work with other services in the new PA dashboard platform, building a new team of a dozen people of engineers, designers and product managers to develop next generation workflow solution with modern web technologies and micro services in PA cloud, and negotiating and winning a multi-million dollar SLA as technical liaison for source code license revenues with China local companies.

Ben Chen's educational career consists of a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Science and Technology of China, a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and a computer science degree in Networks from Northeastern University.

Ben Chen reports to Keith Peters, Director, Engineering. They work with Rob Gagnon - Engineering Manager, Slava Asipenko - Engineering Manager.
