Mike Townsend

Mike Townsend is a seasoned entrepreneur and founder with extensive experience in the tech industry. As the founder and head of growth at Grupo since January 2023, Mike has established a leading community for remote developers focused on career advancement and networking. Additionally, Mike has been the creator and host of the podcast Around The Coin since 2013. As the founder and CEO of HireOtter, launched in September 2018, Mike connects venture-funded U.S. startups with talented remote engineers from Argentina. Mike is also a mentor at LAUNCH, an angel investor in multiple companies including Mainvest, Mindbloom, Lime, and Noteworth, and serves on the board of FixMyCar. Previously, Mike founded Metastory, an experimental project for audio storytelling, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Connecticut and further education from UCLA.
