Chris Lewis-Jones is a PGCE Tutor in Art & Design and Art tutor at Nottingham Trent University since September 2019, also serving as a Tutor and Course Leader for Drawing and Mark Making. As a self-employed artist, lecturer, facilitator, performer, musician, mentor, and flaneur since 2012, Chris is a resident artist at a prominent artist-run space in the region. Furthermore, Chris holds the position of Associate Artist at Nottingham Contemporary since August 2009 and is Co-Head Gardener at Nu-Urban Gardeners, overseeing interactive installations and live art interventions related to gardening and the environment. Previous experience includes being a sessional Tutor in Art & Design at NTU/Nottingham Trent International College from October 2012 to October 2022, and working as an Archaeological Illustrator at Northamptonshire Archaeology Unit from 1980 to 1987. Chris holds an MA in Art & Design Advanced Practice and Theory from the University of Derby and a BA (Hons) in Fine and Studio Arts from Sunderland Polytechnic, complemented by a Foundation Diploma in Art & Design from Stourbridge College of Art.
