Scott Carlton

Cabinet Member For Communties And Public Health at Nottinghamshire County Council

Scott Carlton has extensive experience in local governance and community service, currently serving as the Chair and Senior Responsible Officer of the Nottinghamshire Combating Substance Misuse Partnership, and as Deputy Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care and Public Health at Nottinghamshire County Council since May 2021. Previously a District Councillor for Newark and Sherwood District Council, Scott has also held positions on the Nottinghamshire Police and Crime Panel, and the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Fire Authority. In addition to council responsibilities, Scott is the Chairman of the Sherwood Conservative Association and has significant involvement in community sports as a Director of Active4Today and Radcliffe Olympic Football Club. Educationally, Scott holds a degree from the University of Derby and has contributed to local representation through various councils and committees since 2019.
