Elwin Schomaker

Elwin Schomaker has extensive work experience in the field of science, particularly in the areas of molecules and materials technology, molecular sciences, polymer technology, and polymer exploration. Elwin has worked at Nouryon since 1988, starting as a Lead Scientist and focusing on maintaining scientific rigor within their team. At AkzoNobel, Elwin held various roles, including Lead Scientist, Senior Scientist, department head in Polymer Technology, and group head in polymer exploration, polymer evaluation, and polymer technology. During their time at AkzoNobel, they worked on projects, developed science capabilities, and emphasized the importance of scientific integrity within their teams. Elwin's work experience includes filing numerous independent patents and contributing to the advancements in water/air-purification systems, oxide-nanoparticles, polymer/clay nanocomposites, and paper coatings.

Elwin Schomaker attended the University of Groningen from 1978 to 1988, completing a degree in Polymer Science and obtaining a Dr. degree.
