Jason Thorne

Jason Thorne has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Currently, they hold the role of SVP, Integrated Business Planning and Commercial Services at Nouryon since October 2023. Prior to this, from June 2020 to October 2023, they worked as the Director, Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Transformation at Eastman Chemical Company.

Jason also has extensive experience at Eastman Chemical Company in various roles such as Global Sourcing Director - Indirect Materials and Services, Director, One Eastman Procurement Transformation, and Director, Advanced Materials Supply Chains and Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence, from 2011 to 2020.

Before their time at Eastman Chemical Company, Jason served as the Operations Officer in the Army National Guard from 1985 to 2012. Jason also held the position of Director of Global Supply Chain (AOUV Business, $450M Revenue) at Addivant in 2010 and Director, Sales and Operations Planning at Continental Commercial Products in 2009.

Earlier in their career, Jason worked as the SAP Practice Lead + Managing Consultant at ABeam Consulting from 2005 to 2009 and as the Product Director, Flame Retardants and Brominated Performance Products at LANXESS from 2006 to 2008. Jason also held multiple roles as the Vitamin B3 Business Director at Vertellus Specialty Chemicals (Formerly Reilly Industries, Inc.) from 1991 to 2004.

Furthermore, Jason gained valuable experience working in a variety of positions during their college years, including Assistant Store Manager at Western Sizzlin' steakhouse in Bloomington, Indiana from 1987 to 1991. This experience helped him develop a strong work ethic and understanding of service, cash, and cost management.

Jason Thorne holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Chemistry from Purdue University. Jason also has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Business from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business. Furthermore, they have obtained various certifications, including the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in 2009. Additionally, they have completed courses such as "Develop Your Strategic Planning Skills" from LinkedIn and "Introduction to Connected Strategy" from edX. Jason Thorne has also participated in the Leadership Development Program offered by the Center for Creative Leadership.
