Miranga Hendawitharana

Miranga Hendawitharana has over 15 years of work experience in various roles in the IT and consulting industry. Since 2020, they have been working as a Consulting Manager for Novacura, responsible for the Australia and New Zealand region. Prior to that, from July to November 2020, they worked as an IT Project Manager for the Major Transport Infrastructure Authority. In 2019, they served as a Technical Delivery Manager at Service Stream. From 2018 to 2019, they held the position of Consulting Manager for Novacura in Sri Lanka, where they managed the global support operations team and handled IFS Applications upgrade projects in the Scandinavian region. Before that, from 2016 to 2018, they were the Group Head of ICT at Avarna Ventures Private Limited, leading the digital transformation strategy for a conglomerate in Sri Lanka. Miranga also worked at IFS for several years, starting as a Trainee Software Engineer in 2004 and eventually serving in managerial roles, such as Manager of Software Development and Assistant Manager of Software Development. Throughout their career, they have gained experience in project management, software development, and IT service management.

Miranga Hendawitharana obtained a B.Sc.(Hons) degree in Information Systems from The Manchester Metropolitan University, which they attended from 2002 to 2006. Prior to that, they attended Royal College Colombo from 1988 to 2001, where they studied Mathematics. In addition to their education, Miranga has obtained several certifications, including ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) from APMG-International in December 2013, SCJP (Sun Certified Java Professional) from Sun Microsystems in August 2007, and they are a member of the Australian Computer Society (MACS) since January 2003. Miranga also holds an Advanced Open Water Diver certification from PADI.
