Brian Young is the current Chief Human Resources Officer at Novanta. Prior to their current position, Brian served as the Global Human Resource Leader at Hollingsworth & Vose from July 2014 to March 2015. Their responsibilities included advancing materials for a cleaner world.

Before their time at Hollingsworth & Vose, Brian was with CIRCOR International, Inc. from September 2010 to November 2013. As Vice President and Human Resources Officer, they were in charge of the public company with an $860 million annual revenue. Brian led a team to design and implement a global mobility and expatriate assignment capability in 2013, which supported efficient and cost effective deployment of leadership talent. In 2012, they recommended and gained the support of the Compensation Committee Chair and the Committee to approve the engagement of Pearl Meyer & Partners as independent advisor to the Committee achieving independence and Board satisfaction regarding vendor performance and contemporary comp plans. Brian also implemented performance long term incentives based on P&L performance measures, creating direct alignment with executive compensation and improved shareholder return.

Brian Young has a Bachelor of Science from Penn State University's School of Liberal Arts. Brian also has certification from INSEAD in their Gender Diversity Programme, MIT Sloan in their Executive Certificate in Management and Leadership, DecisionWise in Certified Program Administrator 360 Feedback, Mercer in Mergers & Acquisitions Ready, and Eastern PA Mediation Services in Certified Mediator.
