Dimitris Papanicolaou has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and medical research fields, currently serving as Vice President Development and Global Head of Data, Design, and Clinical Innovation at Novartis since July 2012. Prior roles at Novartis include Vice President & Global Program Head and Global Program Medical Director. Earlier experience at Merck as Director of Clinical Research and at Emory University School of Medicine as Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology contributed to a robust foundation in clinical research and academia. Dimitris Papanicolaou's background includes a fellowship and research at the National Institutes of Health focused on the Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Adrenal Axis, Cushing syndrome, and immune-endocrine interactions, as well as a residency in Internal Medicine at Yale University School of Medicine.
