Antonio Pesqueira

Antonio Pesqueira has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and technology industries. Antonio is currently the Director of Sales Operations for Europe at Novavax. Prior to this, they worked at Bavarian Nordic as the Global Head of CRM & Salesforce Effectiveness. Antonio also held various positions at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Shire, HighPoint Solutions, AstraZeneca, Microsoft Portugal, Olisipo, Banco BPI - DMKE/DSI, and CREDIMAIS - Lisbon, where they gained expertise in sales, CRM, business analytics, and marketing. Antonio's career spans over 15 years, demonstrating their proficiency in managing commercial operations and driving business growth.

Antonio Pesqueira received a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Information Science/Studies from ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa between 2022 and 2025. Antonio also earned a Certificate of specialization in Blockchain Revolution for the Enterprise from INSEAD in 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management from Universidade Europeia from 2009 to 2013. Antonio also completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Information System and Computing in Business from ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics & Management in 2013. Antonio started their education journey with a Licentiate degree in Marketing, Advertising, and PR from Universidade Europeia between 2004 and 2008. Alongside their academic qualifications, Antonio has obtained various certifications in different fields, including blockchain, data science, and project management. These certifications were acquired from institutions and platforms such as the Cardano Foundation, Udemy Courses, IBM, Scrum Alliance, and Coursera, among others.
