Dirk Poelaert

Dr. Dirk Poelaert has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Dirk currently holds the position of Head of Medical Affairs Europe at Novavax. Prior to this, they worked at GSK for 17 years, where they held the role of Global & Regional Medical Affairs Europe GSK Vaccines. Dr. Poelaert also served as a Medical Director at Merck Sharp & Dohme Belgium from 1999 to 2005. Before that, they worked at Eli Lilly as a Clinical Research Physician in Europe and at Astra Pharmaceuticals as a Clinical Research Manager in Cardiovascular and CNS.

Dirk Poelaert, MD has a degree in Business Management from Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Dirk also holds a MD degree from KU Leuven and has studied Marketing at VLEKHO Brussels.
