George Griffith

George Griffith has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. George currently holds the position of Senior Vice President, Global Commercial Strategy at Novavax since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at AstraZeneca where they served as the Global Commercial Head for the Flu franchise and RSV from 2021 to 2023. At Pfizer, George had various roles including Global Commercial Lead for Supportive Care Oncology Biosimilars Portfolio from 2019 to 2021, U.S. Marketing Lead for PREVNAR13 Adult from 2017 to 2019, and U.S. Commercial Strategy Lead for PREVNAR13 in 2016. Before joining Pfizer, they worked at GSK US as an Area Sales Director, Specialty Sales and a Global Commercial Lead for SHINGRIX. Lastly, George has also gained experience at Merck where they held positions as an Associate Manager and Senior Business Analyst in various departments, and as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative.

George Griffith has a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from West Virginia University, which they obtained from 1998 to 2003. Prior to that, they attended Trinity-Pawling School from 1994 to 1998. George then pursued an MBA in International Business from the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University, which they completed from 2006 to 2009. In 2011 and 2012, George participated in an Executive Education Program at The Wharton School.
