Derek Publicover is an accomplished Chief Commercial Officer with extensive experience in the energy and lighting sectors. Currently serving at Novele since July 2025, Derek focuses on transforming commercial buildings into intelligent energy assets through distributed energy storage and edge AI. Previously, Derek held CCO positions at IoT Deployment Services and Cast Nylons Limited. With a strong background in sales and commercialization, Derek has contributed significantly to GE's energy efficiency solutions, serving in various leadership roles including Region Vice-President at GE Current and General Manager at GE Lighting. Derek holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government and a Bachelor of Education from Dalhousie University.
