David Hageraats

David Hageraats has a wide range of work experience ranging from 2021 to 2011. In 2021, they began working as a Senior ESG Innovation Analyst at Novisto, where they had previously worked as an ESG Innovation Analyst and ESG Analyst. In 2019, they began working as a Corporate Sustainability Analyst at Scotiabank. In 2018, they worked as a Business Development Intern at B.Accountability, where they were responsible for researching best practices for corporate governance and ESG disclosures, business strategy development, content creation for digital marketing, video production, and procurement for video editing and web development. In 2017, they worked as a Program Founder and Coordinator at the University of Toronto, where they identified a disconnect between undergraduate and graduate student bodies and designed and implemented a mentorship program. David also worked as a Consultant at DC Grid Development Corporation, where they performed competitive research, market analyses, and feasibility studies of renewable energies. In 2015, they worked as a Safety Coordinator, Mentor, and Instructor at The Boundless School, where they led staff and students on whitewater adventure trips, designed and instructed high school level programs and events, and gained experience in facilitation, conflict, and risk management. In 2011, they worked as a Fire Ranger Crew Member at the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry. In 2014, they completed a 4 month internship at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute, where they established a long-term ecological forest research plot, co-authored and produced a physical guidebook and educational/promotional video, and linked the goals of the scientific community, natural resource managers, and the general public.

David Hageraats obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Environmental Science and Biology from McGill University between 2009 and 2015. In 2017, they completed a Master of Science in Sustainability Management from the University of Toronto. In 2018 and 2019, they completed a Master's Exchange Semester at Lund University School of Economics and Management. In December 2018, they obtained a Bloomberg Market Concepts certification from Bloomberg LP. In June 2021, they obtained a FSA Credential Holder certification from SASB - Sustainability Accounting Standards Board.
