Perry Hackett

Perry Hackett has been working in the field since 1980, when they began as a Professor at the University of Minnesota. In 2000, they Co-Founded, served as Chief Science Officer, and was Chairman of the Board at Discovery Genomics, Inc. Nine years later, in 2009, they Co-Founded and served as a Board Member at Recombinetics, Inc. Most recently, in 2018, they Co-Founded and joined the Board of Directors at NovoClade.

Perry Hackett completed their Bachelor of Science in Physics from Stanford University between 1964 and 1968. Perry then went on to receive their Master of Science in Biophysics and Genetics from the University of Colorado Medical Center, Denver between 1968 and 1970. Following that, they completed their Doctorate in Biophysics and Genetics from the same university between 1972 and 1974. Lastly, they completed a Post-doc in Virology at the University of California, San Francisco between 1977 and 1980.
