Carlos Holguera

Carlos Holguera has worked in the security engineering field since 2012. Carlos began as an Internship & Master Thesis Student at ESCRYPT in 2012, where they also held the role of Security Engineer. In this role, they were the Technical Lead for Security Testing Automation, a Technical Expert in Mobile Application Security, and a Project Technical Leader and Team Member of strategic customer and investment projects on the areas of Automotive and Mobile Security Testing. In 2017, they became a Project Leader Mobile Application Security (MASTG & MASVS) and a Contributor and Co-author (MASTG & MASVS) for the OWASP Foundation, both positions being voluntary. In 2021, they began working as a Mobile Security Research Engineer for NowSecure.

Carlos Holguera attended Ruhr University Bochum from 2012 to 2013, where they obtained a Master Student degree in Information Security. Carlos also attended Universidad de Oviedo from 2005 to 2013, where they obtained a Master of Telecommunications Engineering in Ingeniería de telecomunicaciones.
