Justin Makaila

Justin Makaila has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Justin is currently working as a Lead Software Engineer at Nowsta since July 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Wellth as a Software Engineer from January 2016 to August 2022. In this role, they served as the Lead iOS Engineer and assisted in developing and implementing engineering processes. Before that, Justin worked at Tabtor Math as a Software Engineer from June 2015 to January 2016. Here, they managed the iOS ecosystem in production, led special projects, and helped transition from native iOS to React Native. Justin also was a Co-Founder & CTO at Present, inc from March 2013 to January 2015. In this role, they raised $145k, developed core HLS-upstream live streaming technology on iOS, contributed to backend server development, and managed a team of 6.

From 2010 to 2013, Justin Makaila attended West Chester University of Pennsylvania. During this time, they pursued a field of study in Computer Science, although they did not earn a degree.
