Lorena Figueroa

Lorena Figueroa has extensive work experience in the clinical operations field. Lorena currently serves as the Director of Clinical Operations at Noxopharm Limited, where they play a pivotal role in shaping the company's clinical development portfolio and leads the clinical team. Lorena also acts as the lead internal advisor for applicable trials and manages the career development and coaching of clinical operations personnel. Lorena is responsible for ensuring trials are executed efficiently and with high quality, and oversees the dissemination of data and clinical/regulatory documents. Additionally, Lorena engages with key stakeholders and represents the clinical face of the organization in external settings.

Prior to their current role, Lorena worked at Roche as an Agile Coach, supporting the implementation of Agile ways of working within the Clinical Operations Department. Lorena provided coaching and mentoring to individuals and teams, led agile and scrum training, and facilitated design sprints with various teams to improve processes and methodologies. Lorena also served as the Country Clinical Operations Leader at Roche, where they created and maintained a highly motivated team, oversaw global trials, and contributed to the development of the clinical operations strategy.

Before joining Roche, Lorena worked at Pharmaxis as a Senior Clinical Project Manager. In this role, they managed teams, vendors, and budgets for clinical trials across multiple countries. Lorena also project managed global project teams and coordinated various aspects of the trials, including data management, regulatory submissions, and investigator training.

Lorena began their career at Eli Lilly and Company, where they held several roles, including Senior Project Management Associate and Clinical Research Associate.

Lorena Figueroa obtained a Diploma in Project Management from the University of New England in 2007. Before that, they pursued a degree in Pharmacy from the University of Buenos Aires, completing their education in 1995. Lorena Figueroa has also obtained several additional certifications, including Co-Active Coach from the Co-Active Training Institute in October 2020, Developing Adaptable Managers from LinkedIn in April 2020, Scrum Fundamentals Certified and Accreditation Body for Scrum and Agile from SCRUMstudy in September 2019, and a Life Coach certificate from the Transformation Academy in August 2019.
