Revenue Operations Lead

Operations · Full-time · London, United Kingdom

Job description

We are looking for a Revenue Operations Lead to join our team in London. Whilst you will be based near our UK headquarters, this role has a global remit.

Summary

  • A fantastic opportunity to own Revenue Operations within a fast-paced startup environment, and contribute directly to the success of nPlan.

  • This role reports directly to the Commercial Director (equiv. of VP Sales) with key interfaces with the CEO.

  • We are a fast-growing Series A startup with investors including GV (formerly known as Google Ventures) and Demis Hassabis (founder of DeepMind).

  • Base salary of £45k-£50k depending on experience, along with a generous equity package.

  • Flexible working hours & locations - so long as you can do the core hours of 10am-4pm GMT Mon-Fri, and come into the office once or twice a week, we’re happy.

  • Enhanced benefits package including (for example) private medical insurance, unlimited holiday allowance, and enhanced family and sick leave policies.

In this role, you’ll be deeply embedded in the Commercial operations and day-to-day workings of nPlan, and you’ll play an important role in our success.

You’ll be working closely with our Operations Lead and Commercial Director, and will be responsible for managing and improving the systems and processes to enable the Commercial team to run faster. You’ll be working on practices that support us as we scale, becoming an expert in our internal tools and seeking out opportunities to tweak or automate things to help us understand how to sell more, faster. We’re highly ambitious, and we hope that you are too. You’re likely to be a fast learner, curious, and able to identify how and where improvements can be made.

Our purpose is to inspire the world to forecast correctly and empower it to tackle risk, powered by our deep learning technology and its unique ability to forecast the outcomes of construction projects. We’re on a mission to change how construction projects are planned, managed and executed, and in the process unlock a trillion dollars of new project value for the world through our data-driven forecasting.

We’re lucky to work on some of the largest infrastructure projects in the world, which gives us both an opportunity and a privilege to make a significant impact on the world around us, and what it will look like in the future, every day.

You’ll be joining a world class and well funded team, backed by top investors including GV (formerly known as Google Ventures) that all believe in the future we are creating. We’ve been on a tremendous growth trajectory for the last five years, and following our latest investment round we’ve got very ambitious growth plans for 2024 and beyond.

What the role involves:

  • Sales operations: manage, monitor and evolve internal sales policies, procedures and practices. Proactively seek, suggest and deliver improvements to drive operational efficiency.

  • CRM (HubSpot) and the management of Commercial systems: you will help us use it more effectively and establish, for example, whether we can automate repeated actions to save time, or introduce new features to boost sales.

  • Fundraising support: help create compelling narratives on the strengths of the business, using the metrics you manage. You’ll work directly with the CEO on raising the next round of capital for the company.

  • Legal/compliance: ensure that we have the right documentation in place to work with customers through their procurement processes to ensure we find the money in our coffers in good time.

  • Analysis: analyse complex sales data to produce insights for investors and the nPlan team. This analysis will also involve financial modelling for the whole business.

About you:

  • 3+ years experience of working in a sales operations role

  • You’re organised, proactive, meticulous, and detail-oriented. You’re not phased by working on multiple projects at the same time.

  • You’re a problem-solver and you’ll tell us if you notice a way in which we can improve. You have demonstrable experience in project management and process improvement, which has directly contributed to the success of a company/project.

  • You have high EQ and are able to communicate, engage with and manage well at all levels with nPlan, and with external suppliers and advisors.

  • You notice the little things that need to be done, whilst always thinking about the bigger picture knowing the huge impact you have on our business.

  • You have an eye for detail. If you’ve read this far, mention the word “crane” in your application :-)

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience of working in a fast-growing B2B or tech-based startup.

What working at nPlan will be like:

  • We are still a relatively small team so there is plenty of opportunity for exposure to and ownership of different areas of the business.

  • Your voice will always be heard. What you do or say counts, not who you are or where you're from.

  • We have three core values that underlie everything we do: Learn from Everything, Be Radically Truthful, and Aim High, Run Fast. These enable us to create a collaborative, inclusive environment where we can move effectively and efficiently to implement the best solutions.

  • We are a cross-disciplinary team, and come from all backgrounds and countries.

  • Fantastic benefits package for Health & Wellbeing, Learning & Development, family leave, monthly team meals and more.

  • Having time to yourself and a private life is important. We offer a very flexible work environment and a generous holiday policy.

We are working hard to create a workplace that is inclusive to everyone, no matter their background, or where they are in life. We believe that only a truly diverse place can create great products that serve a wide audience and improve the world.

We believe in equality of opportunities and that's why we make sure that these ideas are reflected in our values, and that we really apply these in all aspects of our company culture.

If you have a need for any adjustments during our interview process, let us know and we will do our best to accommodate them.
