Principal Risk Engineer at nPlan

Sherif Yacoub has a long history of working in the engineering and risk management fields. Sherif began their career in 2009 as an Assistant Signalling Designer for DeltaRail, where they were responsible for creating scheme plans, control tables and IECC data preparation. In 2010, they joined Network Rail as a Risk & Value Analyst, where they created risk models, conducted quantitative analyses and generated risk reports. Sherif then moved into a Risk & Value Manager role, followed by a Technology Engineer role. During their time at Network Rail, they also completed two graduate schemes, one as a Commercial Sponsor and another as a Track Design Engineer and Technical Officer. In 2021, they joined nPlan as a Principal Risk Engineer.

Sherif Yacoub's education history includes a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nottingham, which they obtained from 2005 to 2009. Sherif also passed Level I of the CFA Program from the CFA Institute from 2014 to 2015, in the field of Investments and Securities. Additionally, they obtained the APM Project Management Qualification (APMP) from the Association for Project Management in July 2014.
