Jean-Pierre Breaux

Jean-Pierre (JP) Breaux is an accomplished finance executive with extensive experience in treasury and financial management within the energy sector. Currently serving as VP Treasurer at NRG Energy since July 2023, JP previously held the position of Treasurer at Montana Renewables, LLC, where over $1 billion was raised in various financing forms to support the conversion of a fossil fuel plant to renewable diesel. JP's tenure at Calumet Specialty Products Partners, L.P. included maintaining a $1.2 billion debt capital structure and executing liability management strategies. Prior roles at Carrizo Oil & Gas, Inc., Energy XXI, and Shell Energy North America involved securing liquidity, managing risk, and optimizing operations. JP's educational background includes two Master's degrees in Finance and Business Administration from Texas A&M University.
