Monica M. Berry

Monica M. Berry is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in energy regulation and corporate law. Currently serving as Senior Counsel at NRG Energy since March 2015, Monica advises executives on regulatory and legal matters pertaining to demand response and distributed energy resources. Previous roles include Counsel at Schiff Hardin LLP, where a focus on energy regulation and litigation was established, and Associate at Sullivan & Worcester LLP, representing utility clients before regulatory bodies. Early legal experience includes clerkships at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and the Rhode Island Supreme Court, along with significant roles in legal instruction and consulting. Monica holds a J.D. from Boston University School of Law and is pursuing an MBA from Boston University's Questrom School of Business.
