Ahsan Ali Khan - Aca - Fcca

Ahsan Ali Khan is an ACA and FCCA with a diverse work experience. Ahsan Ali currently holds the position of Head Internal Audit (A) and Vice President at NRSP Microfinance Bank since February 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of Internal Audit/Secretary to BAC at SeedCred from September 2021 to February 2022.

From July 2021 to September 2021, Ahsan served as the Head of Islamic Banking and Shariah Audit at Allied Bank Limited. Ahsan Ali also held various positions at the same organization, including Senior Officer Islamic Banking and Shariah Audit from February 2017 to June 2021, and Internal Auditor from June 2015 to January 2017. In these roles, they were responsible for reviewing account opening forms, ensuring compliance with KYC/anti-money laundering policies, implementing internal audit policies, and contributing to the preparation and updating of procedures manuals and risk assessment mechanisms.

Ahsan started their career at PwC as an ERP Functional Consultant from October 2013 to December 2014, providing support and handling Oracle-related issues for clients. Before that, they worked as an Audit Supervisor at Phinehas and Co Chartered Accountant from September 2009 to November 2012, where they prepared group financial statements, finalized trial balances, and engaged in various annual external audits and special audit assignments.

Ahsan Ali Khan obtained their Associate Chartered Accountant degree in Accounting and Finance from ICAEW in 2021. Prior to that, they completed their Association of Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA) degree in Accounting and Finance from ACCA in the years 2009 to 2012. Additionally, Ahsan has acquired certifications in Shariah Audit and Compliance for Islamic Financial Institutions from the National Institute of Banking and Finance (NIBAF) in 2021, Treasury Management for Islamic Banks from the IBA Centre for Excellence in Islamic Finance in 2018, and an Islamic Banking Certificate Course from NIBAF in 2017.
