Sujith Weerasinghe

Sujith Weerasinghe, PhD, currently serves as Lab Manager II at NSF since March 2024. Prior experience includes the role of Laboratory Manager at LynxDx from August 2020 to January 2023 and a postdoctoral position at the University of Michigan from April 2009 to December 2020. During the postdoctoral tenure, responsibilities included designing and managing research projects, maintaining transgenic mouse strains, developing protocols for mouse primary hepatocyte isolation, and supervising junior researchers and students. Sujith Weerasinghe holds a PhD in Biochemistry from Wayne State University and completed postdoctoral studies in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Michigan. An undergraduate degree in Chemistry was obtained from the University of Peradeniya.
