Wafa Haddara Saboune

Curriculum Project Officer Community Languages Schools Program at NSW Department of Education

Wafa Haddara Saboune has an extensive career in education, serving as a Curriculum Coordinator and Curriculum Project Officer for the Community Languages Schools Program at the NSW Department of Education since 2000, alongside roles as an Arabic Teacher. Wafa also taught Arabic at TAFE NSW from 2012 to 2014. Prior to a focus on education, Wafa worked in customer service at the Commonwealth Bank from 1990 to 1997. Wafa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Languages and a Bachelor of Teaching (Secondary) from Western Sydney University, completed between 1993 and 1998, and obtained a Higher School Certificate from Blacktown Girls High in 1989, following education at Wiley Park Girls High and Beverly Hills Girls High.
