Mark Tyler has a diverse work experience in the healthcare field. Mark started their career as a Senior Staff Nurse at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in 2005. Mark then worked as a Charge Nurse in the Emergency Department at Rashid Hospital Trauma Centre from 2007 to 2008. Following that, they held the position of Assistant Manager ED at KAMC J from 2008 to 2010. Mark then transitioned to become a Nurse Manager at SEHA - Ambulatory Healthcare Services Co. from 2010 to 2012. From 2012 onwards, they worked at NSW Health, where they took on the role of Clinical Nurse Manager from 2012 to 2015. Mark then held various project-related positions, including Senior Project Officer for the Macksville Hospital Development and the Coffs Harbour Hospital Expansion. Mark also served as the Project Lead for the Coffs Harbour Hospital Expansion. In 2019, they worked as an Online Marker and Facilitator at the University of New England (AU). In 2022, they became an Examiner at AHPRA (Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency). Currently, they are self-employed as a Clinical Design Manager since 2023.

Mark Tyler completed a Master's degree in Emergency Management from Charles Sturt University from 2008 to 2010. In 2012, they obtained a Certification IV in Training and Assessment from Kings RTO. Additionally, they earned a Bachelor of Nursing degree from Queensland University of Technology between 1997 and 1999.
