Senior Software Engineer at nTopology

Arash Gobal has a diverse work experience starting from 2012. Arash first worked as an Undergraduate Intern at Niroo Research Institute, where they were part of a team designing and testing a new 2 MW wind turbine. Arash'stasks included vibration analysis of the wind turbine tower.

In 2013, Arash interned again, this time at Sharif University of Technology.

From 2013 to 2017, Arash was a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Davis. Arash'smain research field was additive manufacturing processes, specifically design and simulation of Laser-based additive manufacturing processes. Arash also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant during this time, where they instructed students in machining operations and reviewed technical drawings and CNC programs.

In 2014, Arash worked as a Graduate Student Researcher at the Advanced Highway Maintenance & Construction Technology Research Center. Arash participated in the analysis and presentation of work zone collision reports database of the state of California. Arash also developed a Python web framework for presenting the database material.

In 2016, Arash was a Visiting Scholar at Technical University Kaiserslautern.

Since 2017, they have been working as a Senior Software Engineer at nTop.

Arash Gobal completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering at Sharif University of Technology from 2008 to 2013. Following this, from 2013 to 2017, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Davis.
