Josien Beekers

Josien Beekers is a seasoned journalist and editor with a strong background in media, currently working as a Redacteur at NTR since March 2024, following previous roles at the same organization, including Redacteur Top 2000 a gogo, Redacteur Kunststof (NPO Radio 1), and Redacteur De Sociëteit. Josien has freelanced for The Other Room Film Productions, contributing to documentary research from September 2021 to December 2023, and has also served as an Illustrator at Red Pers. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Journalistiek en Media from the University of Amsterdam and a Bachelor's degree in Health and Life Sciences from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, alongside participation in the Honours Programme at the University of Amsterdam's Institute for Interdisciplinary Studies.
