Ana Maria Soares

Ana Maria Soares is an experienced professional in data science and engineering, currently serving as the Lead of Fraud Foundations Business Area and Data Science Senior Manager at Nubank since May 2020. Prior to Nubank, Ana held roles as Data Science Manager at VTEX The True Cloud Commerce Platform and Data Science Consultant at Accenture. Ana's earlier experience includes positions as Machine Learning Expert and Hardware Engineer in partnerships with Sony Mobile Communications and LG Electronics, respectively, as well as an Engineering Intern at Mirion Technologies, Inc. Ana holds a Ph.D. in Engenharia de Computação from Universidade Federal de Campina Grande, a Master's degree in Neuroscience from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, and a Master of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Grenoble INP Esisar, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Universidade Federal de Campina Grande.
