Zach Lipp is a highly experienced machine learning engineer and software developer with a strong background in AI safety and large language models. Currently participating at Recurse Center and serving as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Numerator, Zach has contributed to significant scaling of services, developed a robust system for deep learning model training, and established automation standards for model testing and deployment. Previous roles include Software Engineer II at gradient, where Zach configured Kubernetes clusters, and Senior Software Engineer at Lumere, focusing on re-architecting machine learning pipelines. Zach's data science expertise was further developed at Crowe, where leadership of a team resulted in the production of innovative data science products. Earlier experience includes impactful work at Civis Analytics and various internships that enhanced coding and analytical skills. Zach holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from Concordia College.
