Sonja MacCumhaill

Sonja MacCumhaill has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. Sonja is currently serving as the Head of Risk at Deutsche Numis since January 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Module Co-ordinator for the Professional Certificate in Stockbroking at IOB from October 2021 to October 2023. Sonja also served as a Senior Business Analyst at Davy from September 2020 to September 2021. Sonja has a strong background in risk analysis and regulation, having held various roles at the Irish Stock Exchange from 2005 to 2019, including Chair of Risk Analysis Working Group, Manager of Traded Markets Infrastructure, and in regulation. Sonja started their career at AIB, specializing in credit delivery and systems development from July 2003 to March 2005.

Sonja MacCumhaill attended Trinity College Dublin from 1997 to 2001 where they earned a BA degree in Mathematics. Afterwards, they attended Dublin City University from 2001 to 2002, obtaining an MSc degree in Financial & Industrial Maths.
