Shanif Merchant

Shanif Merchant has worked in the tech industry since 2000. Starting at Motorola Mobility (a Lenovo Company) as a Senior Product Manager, they then moved to Smith Micro Software, Inc. as a Program Director, Cellular Carriers ARPU SW. In 2010, they became the Head Of Products, Camera HW, FW, Mobile & Cloud SW at GoPro, and in 2016 they were the Product Management Leader, Aviation IoT, B2B SaaS at GE Digital. In 2018, they became the Director of Product Management, Transportation & Logistics IoT, AI/ML, B2B SaaS at Hitachi Vantara. Currently, they are both Chief Product Officer at Numurus and an Advisor to Industrials at Self Employed.

Shanif Merchant is currently enrolled in a Certificate program in Data Science at the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to this, they completed an Honors Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics at McMaster University.
