Derek Ellis

Derek Ellis has extensive experience in software engineering, infrastructure engineering, and web development. Derek began their career in 2003 as a Web Application Developer and Web Designer Assistant at the UC Davis Institute of Transportation Studies. In 2006, they served as a Web Developer for All Crew Agency. In 2007, they joined The Sacramento Bee as a Web Developer. In 2008, they were a Software Engineer at Eyefinity. From 2011 to 2015, they were a Graphics Software Engineer at Intel Corporation. In 2018, they joined Nuna Inc. as a Staff Infrastructure Engineer and later became a Senior Infrastructure Engineer. During their time at OttoQ Inc., they were a Senior Software Engineer and was responsible for setting up and administering network services, leading web development efforts, and validating, debugging, and optimizing applications.

Derek Ellis graduated from the University of California, Davis in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering. In 2010, they obtained a Sun Certified Programmer for the Java 2 Platform, SE 6.0 (OCPJP/SCJP) certification from Sun Microsystems.
