Prabhu Raman

Director, Computational Chemistry at Nurix

Prabhu Raman has extensive work experience in the field of computational chemistry and scientific development. Prabhu is currently the Director of Computational Chemistry at Nurix Therapeutics, a position they have held since July 2023. Before that, they were the Associate Director of Computational Chemistry at the same company from June 2021 to July 2023.

Prior to joining Nurix Therapeutics, Prabhu worked at BIOVIA, where they held various roles over the course of six years. Prabhu started as a Graduate Research Assistant at George Mason University in August 2002 and later became a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, from November 2008 to September 2015.

In 2014, Prabhu joined SilcsBio, LLC as a Senior Scientist before transitioning to BIOVIA in September 2015. Prabhu initially worked as a Scientific Software Engineer before being promoted to a Scientific R&D Manager from March 2018 to March 2020. Prabhu then took on the role of Senior Manager in Scientific Development from March 2020 to May 2021. Finally, they served as a Fellow on the BIOVIA Science Council from July 2019 to June 2021.

Overall, Prabhu Raman has a strong background in computational chemistry and has held various leadership positions throughout their career.

Prabhu Raman earned a Ph.D. in Computational Biophysics from George Mason University, where they studied from 2002 to 2008. Prabhu also holds a M.Sc.(Hons.) degree in Mathematics from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, which they attained from 1998 to 2002.
