Rohit Lohia

Rohit Lohia is a multimedia journalist with extensive experience across various media organizations. Currently working as a Multimedia Journalist at Al Jazeera Media Network since March 2023, Lohia also contributes as a Video Journalist at BBC News and a Photojournalist for ZUMA Press and NurPhoto Agency since July 2022. Additionally, Lohia served as a Photographer and Line Producer for DIE ZEIT in mid-2024, and worked as a Documentary Filmmaker for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation between February and April 2024. From February 2021 to April 2024, Lohia was involved with Kaur Life, focusing on gender and caste marginalization in Punjab. Previous experiences include a role as a Journalist with Asia Democracy Network and independent journalism for The Caravan Magazine, along with training in investigative journalism at the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project. Rohit Lohia holds a Diploma in Photography from the Indian Institute of Photography, completed in 2018.
