Michael Bigelow

Michael Bigelow has a diverse work experience spanning from 2012 to the present. Michael started their career as a Mathematics Tutor at the University of Utah Athletics in 2012 and then became the Owner and Tutor at Wasatch Math Tutors in 2012. In 2013, they also worked as a Freelance Saxophonist and Music Transcriber/Copyist/Arranger at Michael Bigelow Music. From 2014 to 2019, they served as a Music Pedagogue and Bandleader for Mountain Boogaloo at Michael Bigelow Music.

In 2018, Michael worked as a Brand Strategist at Lone Peak Sound, where they managed web and social strategy, including video content creation, web development using Squarespace, and automation of social media tasks using Python InstaPy package. Michael also provided strategic consultation on product development and marketing.

Michael then gained experience in the healthcare industry, starting as a Data Architect Intern at Intermountain Healthcare in 2019. In 2020, they interned as a Data Scientist at Intermountain Healthcare and later joined Dominion Energy as an Engineering Technical Specialist II (Data Scientist). In both roles, they utilized their skills in data science and analysis.

Currently, Michael is working at Nursa as a Data Scientist since July 2022. Michael has now been promoted to the role of Manager, Data Science starting from April 2023.

Michael Bigelow began their education at the University of Utah, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics. Michael then pursued a Master's degree in Data Science at the same institution from 2019 to 2021. Additionally, Michael has a Master's degree in Jazz Composition & Performance from the University of Utah. Prior to their time at the University of Utah, they studied Physics at Wheaton College. In July 2020, Michael obtained a certification in PyTorch Essential Training: Deep Learning from LinkedIn.
