Syed Zafar Naqvi

Syed Zafar Naqvi has extensive work experience in the field of data analysis, reporting, and software development. Syed Zafar began their career in 1998 as a Programmer/Software Engineer at Industrial Technologies Ltd., where they focused on VOIP software design and development using C++ and Visual Basic. Syed Zafar then worked as a Programmer/Analyst at TEKsystems from 2001 to 2003 and at APAC Customer Services from 2003 to 2004.

In 2005, Syed joined Teradata as a P.S. Consultant, specializing in data warehousing and ETL design and development. From 2007 to 2009, they served as the Line Manager of the ETL team at Teradata Global Consulting Center, Islamabad, overseeing DWH projects setup, ETL design, and resourcing. Syed Zafar then took on the role of Manager, Testing and QA, where they were responsible for DWH test planning, management, and execution. In 2013, they were promoted to Practice Manager - Managed Services, heading the Managed Services Practice and delivering client engagements in Europe, Middle East, and Southeast Asia.

In 2016, Syed started freelancing as a BI & Data Visualization Consultant, providing services in business intelligence and data visualization. Syed Zafar also worked as a Dev-Ops consultant at National Taxi Services and as a Data Analyst at databot.io, where they gained experience in database design, analysis, Tableau development, REST API development, and infrastructure setup on AWS.

Most recently, Syed joined Elite Specialty Staffing in 2018 as a Data Analyst, focusing on data analysis and reporting. In 2020, they joined Nursa™ as a B.I. Reporting and Analytics specialist.

Throughout their career, Syed has demonstrated their expertise in data analysis, reporting, software development, and project management.

Syed Zafar Naqvi holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics from Pakistan Institute of Development Economics, which they obtained from 2018 to 2022. Prior to that, they completed an MBA in Finance from Bahria University from 2008 to 2011. Syed Zafar also has a Master's degree (M.S) in Computer Science from Maharishi International University, obtained from 2001 to 2004. Syed Zafar Naqvi holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Science from the University of Peshawar, which they attained between 1998 and 2000. Syed Zafar also holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science from the University of Peshawar, completed from 1996 to 1998. Before their university education, they completed their high school education and obtained a Foundation degree from I.C.B.

In addition to their formal education, Syed Zafar Naqvi has also acquired several certifications. These include being a Tableau Desktop 9 Qualified Associate, certified by Tableau Software in May 2016. Syed Zafar is also a Teradata V2R5 Advance Certified Professional, certified by Teradata in June 2006. Furthermore, they hold an ISO 27001 ISMS Lead Auditor certification, which they obtained from SGS - IRCA in August 2012.
