James Buckley is currently the ICB Head of Wellbeing and Workforce Health at NHS Derby and Derbyshire Integrated Care Board since April 2022, leading the strategic implementation of health and wellbeing services across the local integrated care system. Previously, James served in several key roles, including Head of Wellbeing and Workforce Health at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust and Physical Activity, Health and Wellbeing Manager at the University of Leeds. With extensive experience in health and wellbeing management, James has contributed to initiatives such as the Trauma Informed Derbyshire project and the creation of the East-Midlands Wellbeing Hub. Additionally, James holds advisory and leadership positions with the UK & International Health Coaching Association and CIMSPA, focusing on professional development in health and physical activity sectors, and is involved in community support efforts with Sue Ryder. James holds a BSc (Hons) in Sports Development with Coaching and an Advanced Personal Training Diploma.
