Mark Alphonso-Waters is a seasoned aerospace engineer with extensive experience in systems engineering, propulsion management, and project leadership. Currently a Systems Engineer 4 at NuScale Power since June 2022, Mark previously held the role of Air Breathing Propulsion Manager and Sr. Principal Propulsion Engineer at Northrop Grumman, where responsibilities included leading propulsion efforts and organizing interdisciplinary teams utilizing Agile and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). Previous positions include a Guidance Control and Navigation Intern at The Aerospace Corporation, and an Advanced Radar Systems Intern at Delphi. Mark holds a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from UCLA and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the same institution, along with specialized training in advanced systems engineering from Caltech and effective communication from Dale Carnegie Training. Mark has further augmented knowledge in nuclear engineering through audited courseware on edX.
