Director, Contract Management And Special Programs at NV Energy

Edgar Patino has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Edgar began their career in the United States Air Force, where they served as a Staff Sergeant and Aircraft Structural Maintenance Assistant Production Supervisor. During this time, they supervised repairs, conducted quality inspections, and ensured the proper functioning of various aircraft and aerospace equipment.

Following their military service, Patino worked as a Commission Sales Associate at Sears, Roebuck and Co., where they excelled in marketing and selling merchandise to customers. Edgar maximized sales opportunities through add-ons, accessories, and maintenance agreements.

Patino then transitioned to Nevada Power Company, where they held roles as a Marketing Associate and later as a Media/Community Relations Representative. In these positions, they supported marketing and corporate communication functions and served as a visible representative and spokesperson for the company. Edgar developed community relations programs, enhanced media exposure, and contributed to advertising, customer communications, and brand management.

Moving on to NV Energy, Patino took on various leadership roles. Edgar started as a Government Affairs Account Executive, developing and implementing government affairs strategies at the local political level. Edgar established and maintained relationships with government officials and community leaders while lobbying for company positions. Edgar then became a Manager of Local Government Affairs, where they strengthened the company's effectiveness throughout Nevada by executing government affairs strategies and coordinating initiatives at the state and federal levels. Later, they served as the Director of External Affairs, overseeing external communication efforts. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Contract Management and Special Programs, where they provide leadership and mentoring to drive strategic process improvement projects within the organization.

Throughout their career, Patino has demonstrated strong leadership abilities, strategic thinking, and a commitment to fostering effective relationships with stakeholders.

Edgar Patino has an extensive education history. Edgar started their academic journey at the Community College of the Air Force from 1990 to 1996, where they obtained an Associate of Applied Science degree in Airframe Repair Technology. Patino then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with a focus on Marketing at the UNLV Lee Business School, completed in 2001. Later, they pursued further education at the same institution, earning a Master of Business Administration degree from the UNLV Lee Business School in 2008. Patino also gained a Certificate in Utility Management from Willamette University MBA in 2013.
