Charlie Brown

Charlie Brown is Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Northwest Hardwoods, leading the finance, IT, and PMO functions. Charlie joined NWH in 2022 and is known for developing and inspiring high-performing teams, partnering with business leaders, and creating organizational engagement and alignment to orchestrate meaningful change. Prior to joining, Charlie served as Executive Vice President and CFO of Forterra for five years and CFO of Oldcastle Materials, a division of CRH, for nine years. Charlie is a basic materials industry veteran with over 30 years of experience driving growth and improvement at manufacturing and materials companies, with prior experience at Vulcan Materials and PPG Industries. Charlie holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Economics from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and a Master’s of Management from Northwestern’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
