Marcel Levi

Marcel Levi is a distinguished medical professional currently serving as the President of NWO (Dutch Research Council) since April 2021 and as a Professor of Medicine at both the University of Amsterdam and UCL since December 2016. With a rich history in leadership roles, Marcel Levi was the Chief Executive at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust from December 2016 to April 2021. Marcel Levi's extensive experience also includes being the Chairman of the Executive Board at AMC from January 1989 to January 2017, where responsibilities encompassed roles as Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Internist, and Chairman of the Department of Medicine. Academic accomplishments are supported by a medical degree (MD PhD) from the University of Amsterdam, complemented by studies at INSEAD and KU Leuven. Marcel Levi maintains active membership with the Nederlandse Internisten Vereniging, contributing as a Board Member of Research.
