Christian Yacca

Christian Yacca has a diverse range of work experience in emergency response and management. Christian is currently working as a HERRC Program Manager and Site Operations Lead for NYC Health + Hospitals, where they oversee the day-to-day operations of a Humanitarian Emergency Response and Relief Center and provides support to individuals seeking asylum in the United States. Prior to this role, they worked as a HERRC Site Supervisor for NYC Health and Hospitals, managing and supervising the operations of another HERRC facility in Manhattan.

Before their work with NYC Health + Hospitals, Yacca served as an Emergency Response and Office Services Manager for Starz, where they managed the COVID-19 response for the company's New York offices and implemented protocols for offices worldwide. Christian also worked as an Onsite Medical Representative for Amazon, providing medical care to thousands of employees during a site launch and implementing safety programs.

Yacca's work experience also includes being an Emergency Medical Technician for various companies, where they provided emergency medical services and played a role in conducting training events and leading teams during public events.

Throughout their career, Yacca has demonstrated their dedication to emergency response and relief efforts, as well as their ability to manage operations, implement safety measures, and coordinate with various stakeholders.

Christian Yacca completed a Bachelor's degree from CUNY Baccalaureate for Unique and Interdisciplinary Studies in 2022. Their double major was in Public Administration and Public Health, with a double major in Social Psychology. Prior to that, from 2015 to 2016, they attended John Jay College (CUNY) to study Forensic Psychology. Additionally, Christian has obtained several certifications including IS-453: Introduction to Homeland Security Planning from FEMA in April 2022, COVID-19 Contact Tracing from The Johns Hopkins University in August 2020, COVID-19 Mass Gatherings Risk Assessment from the World Health Organization in August 2020, and Advanced Security in the Field and Basic Security in the Field from the United Nations Department of Safety and Security - BSAFE Program in August 2019. Other certifications they hold include Stop the Bleed Instructor from Stop the Bleed - Save a Life in May 2019 and EMT-B from the New York State Department of Health in June 2016. Christian also has certifications in Basic Life Support Instructor, CEVO III, First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor, HAZMAT Safety, IS-5a, Incident Command System 100, Incident Command System 200, Incident Command System 700, Incident Command System 800, OSHA-10, Standard First Aid, CPR and AED, and WMD/Terrorism Awareness.
