Eric Vieira

Board Member at NYC Media Lab

Eric Vieira is a board member at NYC Media Lab and has previously served on the boards of RLab and Columbia Engineering. Eric has also worked as a mentor for the iCorps program at the National Science Foundation (NSF) and as the director of special research programs at the City University of New York (CUNY). In these roles, they have been responsible for managing economic development projects, overseeing postdoctoral training programs, launching data science initiatives, and coordinating STEM programs. Eric has also served as the principal investigator on a number of grants from the NSF and the Sloan Foundation.

Eric Vieira has a PhD in Developmental Genetics from New York University, a BA in Molecular Biology & Biochemistry from Rutgers University, and a degree from Holy Cross High School (Waterbury, CT).
