Joshua Piasnik

Joshua Piasnik has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Joshua started their career as a Store Manager at Computer Answers, where they troubleshooted hardware and software issues daily and trained employees on customer service policies. Joshua then worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University at Albany, assisting students with programming assignments and grading their work promptly.

After that, Joshua joined Tyler Technologies as an Associate Software Support Specialist, providing technical support to customers and maintaining professional relationships with clients. Joshua then moved on to the Statewide Financial System as an IT Specialist 1, where they handled user inquiries and resolved issues in a courteous and timely manner.

Joshua then gained valuable programming experience at NYS Office of Information Technology Services, where they worked as an IT Specialist 2 and later as an IT Specialist 3. Joshua led projects and mentored new developers, focusing on system modernization and development in various programming languages such as C#, COBOL, and MVS Assembler.

Currently, Joshua is working at the New York State Unified Court System as a Principal Applications Programmer. Joshua has led important enterprise application migration projects, enhancing system performance and mentoring junior developers in Agile practices.

Joshua Piasnik holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University at Albany, SUNY, which they obtained in the period from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed their Associate's Degree in Computer Information Systems at Hudson Valley Community College from 2012 to 2014.
