Alexandre Pellan Cheng is a skilled researcher with a strong background in biomedical engineering and machine learning. Currently serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the New York Genome Center since September 2021, Alexandre develops machine learning tools and NGS assays for liquid biopsies. Prior experience includes a Ph.D. candidacy at Cornell University, where Alexandre conducted research in the De Vlaminck Laboratory and received the Excellence in Teaching Award while also serving as a Teaching Assistant. Alexandre's earlier roles at Polytechnique Montréal and McGill University involved teaching assistance and research, respectively, covering topics in molecular and cellular biology and biomedical applications. Alexandre holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical Engineering from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours from Polytechnique Montréal.
