Erik Pohl is an experienced engineer currently serving as the Lead Engineer for Electric Distribution at New York State Electric & Gas since March 2025. Prior roles include Researcher III and Researcher II in Electrical Engineering at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory from May 2022 to February 2025, and Distribution Engineer at Xcel Energy from August 2019 to May 2022. Erik's academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Colgate University and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Renewable Energy from the University of Colorado Boulder. Notable projects include conducting atomic analysis for environmental studies at Colgate University and designing a cubesat for NASA's New York Space Grant Consortium.
